  • Today’s diet was ok, but I did a KILLER workout! Very very proud.

    My goals:

    • Workout for 30-60 minutes a day, 6 days a week, even if it’s just gentle exercise. Combine cardio with strength training.
    • Eat something fresh in every meal, fruit, veges, or the like. Limit processed food.
    • Have a nutritious breakfast, every morning.
    • Drink at least one cup of green tea a day, and consume enough water.
    • Have no more than a small serving (at the most) of junk food a day.
    • Every day look in the mirror and tell myself I’m beautiful, and find something about my body that I love.
    • Have at LEAST an hour a day free from technology.

    My intake:
    • 3 hi-bran weetbix with raw sugar
    • small/med serving of lasagna
    • iced coffee and half an Afghan biscuit
    • iced green tea with feijoa and lime blossom
    • half a small bag of crunchy m&m’s
    • 1 orange
    • small handful of cashews
    • reeces peanut butter cup
    • green tea with lemon juice
    • 1/4 of an orange
    • 2 pieces of wholegrain pb&j toast

I spent a while in town today and went to the movies, hence the junk food. But I worked out for 45 minutes, including 20-30 minutes running, 50 sit ups and 100 standing press-ups, and 30 jumping step ups, and some hardcore stretching, as well as cross-toe touching (touching your toes with the opposite hand), so it was a FANTASTIC workout.

  • skinnny-summer:

Screw counting calories, unrealistic diets, strict, inflexible plans.

I’m starting a 30 day challenge, and I welcome everyone to join me.

I’m hoping that if I stick to this plan, I will feel so much happier and healthier. By the end of the 30 days, I will be slimmer, and toned. There is no “hopefully”, or “maybe” or “I’ll try”, it is a fact, that I will be slimmer, healthier, toned, and happy.

I know this won’t be easy but it will be so, so rewarding, not just after the 30 days but every day. This will be the most beneficial thing I have ever done for me and my body, and I’m looking forward to it.

On the first day, take a “before” photo, or two. No shame. You don’t have to share it with anyone but I’ll be posting my pictures on my progress blog, which is password protected, so people have to ask me for the password. At the end of each week, take another photo or two. At the end of the 30 days, take another photo. Don’t expect any incredibly big change, but you will see a change if you complete the challenge successfully. You could be noticeably slimmer,  more toned, smiling, it’s up to you.

I’m starting my journey here, so join me! And follow my blog to keep updated on my progress :)

I’ve only been on this challenge for 7 days and I’m 10 pounds lighter!

  • So I just weight myself for the first time since started the 30 day challenge (this challenge), and I wasn’t expecting much, but I was wrong!

    Starting weight: 145.2lbs/66kgs

    Current weight: 134lbs/61kgs

    Weight loss: 11lbs/4kgs

So happy! And only after 7 days!

  • So today wasn’t great, due to certain events.. I ended up having a really depressing afternoon and still being sick.

    • My goals:
    • Workout for 30-60 minutes a day, 6 days a week, even if it’s just gentle exercise. Combine cardio with strength training.
    • Eat something fresh in every meal, fruit, veges, or the like. Limit processed food.

    My intakeL

    • Half a bowel of lite berry muesli
    • 1 cup of unsweetened ice coffee
    • most of a grapefruit
    • most of a chicken burger (good quality)
    • a few thick cut chips
    • bottle of pure orange juice
    • unsweetened iced coffee
    • 70% cocoa chocolate stick
    • Most of a packet of instant noodles
    • unsweetened iced coffee

  • So today I ate very clean, no junk food/unhealthy processed food at all. I’ve been feeling really low/tired/depressed today, probably due to my current health condition and mental state due to that. I didn’t exercise at all but to be honest, even if I had I would’ve had to sit down straight away.

    My intake:

    • Small bowl of lite muesli with berries with alfa milk
    • 1 grapefruit with a little bit of white sugar
    •  1 espresso shot with 1/4 cup of trim milk
    • 1 avocado with salt+pepper+lemon juice and crackers
    • small bowel of lamb rogan josh with white rice
    • 1 orange

So I’m not gonna lie, today wasn’t great (besides my intake). But I still feel pretty damn proud of myself.

So today is actually day 5 but my internet wasn’t working yesterday so I couldn’t post this last night

So today went really well! My intake was clean and I did some good exercise, I also did some well needed organising in my bedroom, watched Charlie (boyfriend) preform beautifully at a concert, I don’t get to hear him play viola often, lets just say I fell in love with him all over again. The only thing I didn’t do was drink green tea because we ran out.

    ____

My intake: (not including water intake)

    • 1 bowel of lite muesli with berries
    • 1 savoury bite thing
    • 1 tiny mini chocolate muffin thing with frosting
    • Unsweetened iced coffee
    • Half an avocado with wholemeal sesame & rosemary crackers with salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice (oh my god it was a food orgasm)
    • Unsweetened trim ice coffee  (we were testing out the new coffee maker, it’s awesome)
    • a few bites of fresh soul fillet
    • quarter of a corn cob
    • 1 orange
    • 1 nature valley honey oat bar
    • 1 nature valley oat & dark chocolate bar

It looks like I ate quite a lot, but throughout the day I just had small, healthy regular meals which worked really well for me. I can’t really eat a lot in one sitting so this is a better way of doing it.

For my exercise I did quite a bit of walking places and I also had to carry a PA system up hill which totally made me break a sweat. Those things are flipping heavy. I also did some quite vigorous cleaning which also made me sweat a bit. I didn’t do my usual workout but this was enough for me, especially while I’m sick.

So all in all I’m pretty happy with how it went, and my day was much better than usual!

So today was a pretty average day where my goals were concerned. I’m still feeling pretty sick and things are getting worse. But I got up early to go to school and sort out my classes (school doesn’t start still for another fortnight or so) which was really good. My eating was pretty good but I had a bit of a breakdown in the afternoon/early evening, everything’s just really fragile at the moment… My nerves are shot waiting for this consultation at the hospital. So with everything that went on today I didn’t get in a work out but I still got some gentle exercise which is about all I can manage, so I guess I’m happy with that.

Huh. So I guess today was better than I thought.. Anyway:

    My intake:

    • pb & J on wholemeal bread with 1 glass of juice (we ran out of fruit)
    • small flat white with a stick of whittikers milk chocolate
    • regular unsweetened iced coffee
    • pb & J on wholemeal bread with 1 mug of green tea
    • Chicken caeser wrap with half a thing of fries and half a reg cola
    • Half a large orange

My intake today was pretty weird, as my day ended up quite unpredictable and so was my appetite. At around 6 I realised I hadn’t eaten since 7am and was too depressed and tired to really do anything but make toast. But as I said in my earlier post we got lots of good food today, so I’m aiming for my intake to be a lot better tomorrow. Even if I’m not hungry I’ll try to eat small meals at certain times.
